Afribembe: Under One Sun returns for its 8th year on Harlem Day, Sunday, August 16, making CCCADI’s 50th Anniversary with a Main Stage closing set featuring Pan Evolution Steel Orchestra, Kofago Dance Ensemble, and a procession led by Los Pleneros de la 21 and Danza Fiesta, hosted by Viannca Velez. Festival goers can also shop the Oja Marketplace, enter giveaways, and browse CCCADI’s archival materials, while the Afribembe Children’s Village at Howard Bennett Park offers face painting, storytelling, and Carnival crafts for kids, Join CCCADI as it celebrates 50 years of uniting the African Diaspora, Under One Sun.
