Join us before Nidia Góngora's performance for an introduction to the music of her album Pacífico Maravilla. In this 1-hour workshop led by the musicians from Maestra Góngora's band, participants will learn the basic currulao and bunde musical rhythms of the Colombian Pacific. Participants are asked to bring with them a small percussive instrument such as a hand drum, cowbell, clave, tambourine, or guiro. This all-ages workshop is open to those ages 8 and up. We will have basic tambourines that participants can borrow.
