Arturo Castro Nogueras draws on a rich cultural background that spans his diverse heritage. The son of two pianists and of Cuban, Mexican and Puerto Rican descent, the guitarist has performed extensively across Europe, Africa and the Americas. You can enjoy this free concert at the People's Church in Harlem, formally known as the First Spanish United Methodist Church, a landmark that has been in this community for almost a hundred years and has a rich political history in the East Harlem community: occupied by the Young Lords, the Puerto Rican counterpart to the Black Panthers in the Civil Rights Movement!
