The Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute presents Violines Para Ochún, a four chapter musical and spiritual journey from Africa to Cuba to New York City. Led by master percussionist Louis Bauzó, the production features an intergenerational cast of musicians, dancers, and practitioners honoring Afro-Diasporic Sacred Traditions, anchored by the harp violin long associated with the orisha Ochún. Audiences are invited to bring an offering for the Community Altar. In collaboration with Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture and Leonard Davis Center for the Performing Arts.
